Anchorage: Arrival

Last night I flew from Sitka to Anchorage, losing a little more daylight by going about 800 miles north and touching down in one of the largest cities in the world that’s this far north. Anchorage is also the biggest city in the state, with a population of about 375,000. I’ll be here all month teaching for 49 Writers, the premier literary organization in the state. Learn more about my Submission Workshop course here, or read about my upcoming craft lecture, “Where Research Meets Imagination” here. And of course, stay tuned this month for urban adventures in a winter wonderland. Who knows what this city will bring!
