The Writing Studio: Bathroom Floor

Dad gets all the credit for this one, folks, and you may remember the before and during photos that revealed the true mess this Airstream’s bathroom floor used to be. No longer! Here you’re looking at a pressure-treated plywood floor and beneath that new insulation, a newly treated and rust-free frame, additional framing with 2×6 pressure-treated lumber, and a bellyskin of galvanized sheet metal. Flashing on the outside of the trailer comes next, then the bathtub and sink go back in. I might have been busy moving wood around, but Dad did the real problem solving and hands-and-knees labor to get this very important job of the remodel done. Can anyone say Airstream living? I think for the first time since we bought the trailer, I can!
