Short Story News & Meditation on Perception

First, a few orders of business:
“In the Quiet,” a short-short that I wrote, was published this month in Sugar Mule, a journal of eccentric Buddhist work. Picture a nonfiction writer new to fiction, hidden away on the side of Fork Mountain, just having read 300 consecutive pages of Aimee Bender.
