The Joyful Posts
Borrowing from my friend (and fellow Blogger) Kyle’s “Joy Narrative” themed posts, I’ll use this week of Spring Break to share brief snapshots highlighting moments of joy during this much needed vacation. Full-length, narrative, Wallowa-based posts will resume next Sunday, of course.
[The first night in Oregon City, I stayed at Kyle’s house, sharing a beautiful potluck with grad school friends and Kyle’s wife Tracy. Later in the evening, the kids watched a movie and we each read from our latest creative works of fiction or poetry. Later still, a few of us stayed up well past the bottom of the bottles of wine into the wee hours of the morning, discussing precise expression in student papers, line-level editing versus concept critiquing, the patience of a novel writer, latest great books, and so much more.]
