Television Debut for Lost Crossings
Last October I wrote about Lost Crossings and working with the UNC-TV film crew that took an interest. The book explores a brief history of Western North Carolina’s swinging footbridges and features photographs by Shane Darwent alongside 12 brief meditative essays I wrote. “Our State” is a popular UNC-TV show celebrating culturally significant people and places across the state.
If you live in North Carolina, please tune in:
Thursday, July 5th at 8pm
on UNC-TV
Or watch the portion of the episode

Meantime, please help me celebrate and spread the word about these unique footbridges by purchasing the Lost Crossings eBook (only $3.99) or the full-color print photo edition ($25) using the lefthand sidebar links or clicking here. For a few shots of life behind the scenes during the two-day shoot with Mike, David, and Glen of UNC-TV, check out this slideshow:
If you know someone who might be interested in Lost Crossings, its story, or someone who just loves a good mountain tale with a photo to go along with it, please share this post and help spread the word. Thanks for your support!
