Call to Action: Accumulating Hope
My friends, where do we begin? I hope that if you’re reading this, you were able to protest earlier this month for NO KINGS DAY. We have to keep showing up however we can, even if we doubt that it matters. When doubt accumulates, it kills. When hope accumulates, it saves. Here are some ways to keep hoping.
The Los Angeles Public Press published a fantastic article on other ways to resist ICE raids and support LA protestors on the ground. Check it out here. Immigrants obviously need our support as well, and here are 5 ways to support them amid the LA protests.
If you or ANYONE you know is an active duty member of the military, it’s imperative that they know their rights and have safe, secure access to accurate information. When their Commander in Chief issues illegal orders, they do have rights. Please share this link to the GI Rights Hotline as widely as possible, and if a servicemember you know is afraid to call–offer to call on their behalf.
Last but not least, June is World Pride Month! While many Pridefests have come and gone over the past few weeks, that doesn’t mean allyship stops after the last balloon has popped. Members of the LGBTQ+ community benefit from allyship year-round. Here’s a guide on how to be an LGBTQ+ ally at Pride events, and beyond.
