Call to Action: Remembering Penelope Boyer

This month, my Call to Action is simple and heartfelt: I’d like you to read the last published piece of writing by Sustaining Circle member Penelope Boyer, who passed away last month from cancer.

Penny participated in EMERGE for several years and joined the WRITEABILITY® Sustaining Circle on a full scholarship made possible by a generous donor. She wrote until the end, gathering with us weekly via Zoom. I remember her smile and sense of playful spontaneity in September when she said she was “just going to try” and write about what home meant to her, and submit it to a contest. I’m so glad she did.
