Flashes of War Turns Three!
Read to the end! There are 2 free books opps today, plus a chance for $10 off my e-course!
Ahoy, fellow writers and book-lovers! May 26th is a day I will always remember, because it’s a day that one of my lifelong dreams came true: I became a published author! Three years ago, Flashes of War launched at Malaprop’s Bookstore in Asheville, NC and the rest, as they say, is history. (Well, “the rest” wasn’t quite history–more like a triathlon of book tour basics combined with marketing boot camp.) I feel so lucky to have met so many veterans, military families, flash fiction fanatics, war lit experts, and down-home book fans along the way.
If you’d like to help me celebrate from afar, I invite you to rate or review my book on Amazon or Goodreads. Regardless of where and how you shop, the reality is that these reviews make a difference in the careers of writers today. Potential publishers look at them. Hosting agencies look at them. MFA graduate faculty hiring committees look at them. And potential book buyers, of course, look at them. If you read this blog and enjoy my musings for free, please take this moment to pay it forward by posting a review.
What’s that you say? A free book opp? Yep, that’s right. The first person to post a review on Amazon or Goodreads and return to this site to leave a comment below, including the link to your review, will get a free, signed copy of Flashes of War! Already own it? I’ll send it to a friend of your choice as a gift! Simply post your comment with the link, then contact me with your email and mailing address. The second person to do the same, will get a free, signed copy of Bite: An Anthology of Flash Fiction. These freebies are good now through midnight, May 26, 2016. Hop to it!
Have the winners already beat you to it? Post a link to your review here anyway, contact me with the link above, and I will give you $10 back if you enroll in my literary stewardship e-course by May 31 (that makes it just $79!).
